Our client, a leading Investment House, are seeking a Graphic Designer to join their team on a 6 month contract basis, to cover maternity leave.
Working within incredibly process driven teams, the documents produced will be to standard formats and in-house styles. Accordingly, this is a role ideally suited to someone who prefers a very formulaic and template-driven role, with the focus on accuracy. This is not a 'creative' role, so would also suit an administrative applicant who has been used to producing client reports within set templates using InDesign, Word and Mac systems within a Financial Services environment, or has been working for an outsourced printing/publishing company.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To assist with the day to day duties of the Printing and Publishing Department.
- Obtaining client information from colleagues to be pulled together into reports.
- The production of high quality graphical and typographical work as required, within set templates.
- Ensuring deadlines are met in the production of client reports.
- Liaising with other departments and publishing staff.
- Assisting in all areas of the printing and publishing function.
Skills and Experience required:
- An in-house corporate or professional services background, with a Financial Services background preferred.
- Good knowledge and experience in working with Apple Mac and PC technology is essential.
- Must be proficient in the use of InDesign, Word, Freehand MX, Excel, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator and PowerPoint.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a good eye for layout and design.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Work well under pressure.
- Experience of working in Financial Services is preferable.
- Flexible attitude to work.
