APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST (SQL experience)

THE ROLE:

An excellent opportunity is currently available for Applications Specialist with SQL scripting experience to join a leading global manufacturing company on a contract basis to support exciting site-wide projects.

Working alongside the highly experienced existing staff you will:

  • Assist in assessing the suitability of the current system;
  • Gap analysis
  • Identify improvements or new user requirements
  • Running test scenarios, identifying required fixes

  • Act as a "super-user", providing support and guidance to end users
  • Writing scripts using SQL to support the generation of reports

    • THE CANDIDATE:

  • Worked based experience in an IT systems specialist/support role ideally with manufacturing
  • Competent ability to write and understand scripts in SQL programming language
  • Knowledge of management tools and associated processes to enable development of these capabilities to support business
  • Ideally, experience will come from Maximo but other ERP/Asset Management systems may be considered (JDE/SAP/ORACLE/ETC).

    • (Business Objects/Primavera an advantage)
