Graphic Designer Glasgow   £18000-£24000 Per Annum Based on on Experience

Powerhouse Fitness, the UK’s leading supplier of fitness products, has a vacancy for a full-time graphic designer.  Based in Clydebank, this is a very exciting role working within a busy web marketing department. You will have solid design skills, superior attention to detail and possess a strong flair for creativity.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the online and off-line production process. You will be able to turn your hand to both print and digital design in order to get the best use of the relevant creative media. Design jobs may include, but not be limited to, website graphics, online advertising, email marketing, print adverts, branding, packaging, in store point of sale, marketing and promotional materials such as catalogues and so on.

An excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is key.

Role & Responsibilities

·         You will be able to work from a design brief independently or as part of the team

·         Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating original, creative and successful graphics for a number of brands in our portfolio  

·         You must be able to pro-actively communicate ideas and design concepts, and have the ability to explain your design rationale

·         You must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines

·         You should be comfortable in creating unique and creative graphics work with consistency, accuracy and flair

Essentials

·         Strong portfolio of design work (ideally both design for web and print)

·         Experience of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

About you

This role may be suited to someone with 2+ years experience as a graphic designer within a commercial environment. Recent graduates may also be considered.

You must have excellent organisational skills and be a creative thinker.

Experience with web design, digital platforms, HTML / CSS skills are a plus.
