You will ensure the correct operation of the Company Archives, which receives and manages a variety of data. Specifically you will ensure there are appropriate systems for receipt, checking, storage, retrieval, retention, scheduling and final disposition of data and specimens.
You will supervise the archives staff and ensure they have an appropriate level of training and understanding to perform their duties. You will be expected to keep up to date with current archiving best practice and to develop and improve systems to meet our continually evolving business requirements. This will require awareness of modern systems and technologies associated with modern records and information management practices.
You will be expected to take a leading role in departmental quality improvement initiatives and develop and implement procedural improvements where opportunities are identified.
Experience of records maintenance in an archives environment is essential and preferably within the Pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge and experience of industry standard office software is required of this position, although full training in current procedures will be given. Experience in customer care is also essential.
The position would suit someone with a degree diploma in Library and Information Science or other relevant qualification who is a meticulous self starter and who enjoys working with exacting procedures. A neat and methodical approach to work should be accompanied by previous experience in a supervisory role. A quality-focused mindset and drive for improvement are important assets.
