Deanston Cooper's client, Scotland's leading major civil engineering contractor, has a current requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to work in the Aberdeen area. The company specialise in roads, bridges, power, rail, water and waste water treatment works projects greater than £10 million in value.
General Duties:
- Provide take offs and bill of quantities preparation
- Preparation of interim applications
- Preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Advice on procurement issues
- Preparation of Sub-Contract enquiry packages, subsequent analysis of returned quotes prior to agreement of terms and conditions and placement of order
- Measurement and valuation of sub-contract work
- Preparation and negotiation of sub-contractors’ final accounts
- Preparation of internal cost and value financial reporting and forecasting
Applications are welcome from candidates qualified to a minimum level of HNC Quantity Surveying who are highly experienced in a range of civil engineering project types. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
