Reporting to the Materials Manager and the HSEQ Manager, we are looking to recruit a Supplier Development Assistant, for our East Kilbride office.

The successful candidate will assist with the Supplier Development program to fully engage a partnership approach within the supply chain.

 

Key Responsibilities –

·         Provide expediting support to site, service centres and  Quality /Supply Chain personnel

·         Review Suppliers Quality systems and HSEQ procedures

·         Inform Supply Chain Development management team of any Supplier issues

·         Produce Quality /Purchasing Reports as required for supply chain and to assist to continuously improve business Quality performance of Supplier Chain

·         Creating APS Item Masters for all Service Centres

·         Creating Suppliers and making amendments to Supplier Database, following the latest procedures, managing the supplier database – deactivating suppliers

·         Creating Purchase orders

·         Assist the Procurement team with all aspects of workload

·         Ordering of Stationary on a weekly basis

·         Liaising with A/P, Engineering and Document Control Departments on a regular basis

Person Specification

·         Good basic level of Education (SCE Standard Grade minimum)

·         Experience of working within a purchasing environment

·         Willingness to undertake some UK travel

·         Possess a current UK driving license and valid Passport

·         Computer Literate including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, ERP Platform (would be advantageous)
