My client, a public sector organisation, are looking to recruit a customer focussed Property Officer to join their planned maintenance team. This team are responsible for providing a complete programme of works ranging from cyclical works, replacement of elements such as kitchens/bathrooms, and central heating upgrades.
This is a permanent opportunity that would be suitable for a surveyor looking for the next step in their career. Allowing you to be part of a busy team, this role encompasses asset management delivery and comprehensive customer service within one of Scotlands leading housing associations.
Key duties and responsibilities for this role include:
-Preparation of work specifications.
-Preparation of cost estimates and tender documentation.
-Manage and administer planned and major and minor projects on behalf of clients.
-Monitor running costs to ensure projects remain on budget.
-Supervise contracts including pre and post inspection.
-Manage quality control, cost targets and client expectation.
-Prepare cost analysis and progress reports.
-Monitor and update survey data.
-Co-ordinate and resolve complaints from customers.
The successful candidate is required to be from a built environment background e.g. Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying. It is essential to hold a relevant qualification, minimum level HNC, to be considered for this post.
It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a similar role and carrying out the above tasks. Good communication skills and customer focus is a key part of this role. Knowledge of Housing Association properties would be advantageous although not essential.
It is essential that you have a driving licence for this role, as you would be required to attend site meetings in and around Edinburgh.
