My client is a global manufacturing organisation based in West Lothian. Due to continued growth they now have a fantastic opportunity for a Materials Manager to join their Purchasing Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan raw material in line with MRP requirements
  • Ensure purchase orders are managed and forecasts supplied to suppliers in line with raw material lead times
  • Ensure production launches are 100% on time
  • Source potential new suppliers as required

  • Monitor and measure supplier performance, managing and resolving performance issues as required
  • Provide purchasing support for the Company
  • Ensure Inventory targets are achieved and material usage variance is minimised

    • Ideal candidate:

  • Relevant qualification in Purchasing preferred
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of MRO purchasing is extremely advantageous
  • Good understanding of MRP
  • Previous people management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
