NLC6 £18,182 - £21,100 Pro Rata

Based within Motherwell, you will provide a sheltered housing support service for 16 hours during the weekends and provide additional weekday cover as required in the absence of the full-time Sheltered Housing Officer. Your priority will be to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and ensure they receive appropriate packages of care and support. You will be fully involved in supporting the residents from initially assessing and planning for their needs through to organising appropriate services and social activities.

An S/NVQ level 2 CIH Award/Principles of Care Unit or equivalent relevant qualification, experience of working with the public or customers and knowledge of the Regulation of Care Act and National Care Standards are essential. Experience of delivering housing support services to older people and experience of completing care or support plans is desirable.

With a proactive approach to work, you should understand the issues older people face within the community and have an enthusiastic and approachable nature. You will assist with and promote the use of communal facilities and recreational facilities to residents within the complex and the wider community, so experience of organising social events and encouraging participation is desirable.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.

Work Pattern - Sat/Sun cover 8am – 4.30pm
