Finance Director Fife   £ Six Figure Package

Our client is a long established and successful Scottish business with a strong production/logistics/service feel to its activities.  Despite a sizeable turnover and very strong profits, they do not seek the limelight, preferring to ‘get on’ with the running and growing a successful company.  The business is also institutionally backed and in due course (perhaps even short-medium term) will seek an exit from its current shareholding structure.  This will either be to another financial investor, or to a trade buyer.

The role of the appointee will therefore be two-fold.  Firstly to lead the finance team and play a traditional but pro-active FD role on the Board of the company.  This will include being able to ‘roll up sleeves’ and get down to the detail as well as supporting ongoing strategy.  Secondly it will be to play a key role in the sale of the business.  There will therefore be both the ‘day job’ and the ‘big project’ to deal with and naturally we are looking for the combination of technical skills, commercial acumen and the personal gravitas that will allow this to happen successfully.
