Gas Measurement Instruments Ltd (GMI) is one of the major suppliers of gas detection equipment to a range of industries world-wide and has a well earned reputation for supplying exceptionally high quality, robust and reliable gas detection instruments.
Behind every great product is great product management. We are looking to recruit an individual who will actively contribute to all aspects of product management. The candidate will have a technical background and, ideally, will have additional sales and marketing experience. This demanding role requires a highly motivated candidate who will be driven to understand the needs of customers and the capabilities of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with clearly defining the requirements of new gas detection products.
- Interface with internal and external customers.
- Understand and contribute to all stages of the product cycle.
- Develop a deep understanding of the gas distribution industry and contribute significantly to new product development.

Assist and manage all aspects of product management documentation.
Skills/Experience
- Must have excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Must be able to work creatively on own and as part of a team.
- Must have the ability to take responsibility.
- Desirable to have knowledge and understanding of electronic instrumentation and engineering processes.
- Desirable to have product management experience (specifying product requirements and/ or product marketing).
- Desirable to have marketing experience including gathering and accessing market information.
- IT literate.

- Wllingness to take on responsibility.
- Able to work to deadlines - this role is not 9 to 5.
- Work interactively with all departments within organisation.
- Enthusiastic self-starter.
- Persuasive.
- Customer empathy.
- Willingness to travel.
