My client is an Industry leader in the manufacture and supply of quality food stuffs for the consumer market. Responsibilities: 

  • To provide support to the Operations Manager to ensure safe, cost effective maintenance planning and execution of maintenance to factory assets and equipment. Schedule and Plan Shire maintenance activities, Management of internal engineering work request system, Generate and issue weekly engineering plan
  • Produce a weekly engineering schedule to ensure maintenance is executed to the highest standards and delivers asset reliability
  • Implement an effective engineering planning system that maximises utilisation of resources, (People and engineering budget)
  • Will manage the Engineering Stores Manager
  • Co-ordinate overhaul activities and produces agreed overhaul plans to procedures in place.
  • Schedule a balanced PM system to Deliver agreed engineering KPI’s and update the KPI figures
  • Develop a structure to support spares management, track asset costs & equipment reliability
  • Ensure all assets are maintained to minimum legal standard and meet insurance requirements, e.g. (Lifting equipment, pressure systems, and LEV)
  • Manage and Control the Zurich Insurance register
  • Support the delivery and cascade of site objectives to engineering team
  • Manage the Engineering stores department to ensure that critical spares are always available
  • Support the site continuous Improvement plan/activities 

Person/Experience: 

  • Qualification in Electrical / Mechanical discipline HND/Diploma/Degree 
  • Team Co-ordination skills 
  • Effective communicator 
  • Organised and Methodical 
  • HACCP Knowledge 
  • Highly PC Literate 
  • Logical Decision maker 

Desirable: 

  • Food Manufacturing Experience
  • Experience of a planning role
  • Experience of CMMS in particular Shire
