Managing Quantity Surveyor Edinburgh   £45-£50K

My client, a national civils contractor is currently looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to assist with management of commercial team based along the central belt.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide commercial input to contacts with client’s representatives.
• Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and cash-flow information and present them to senior management.
• Be involved in project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.
• Assist in drafting and promote usage of commercial procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a number of projects whilst not compromising attention to detail, including risk profiling
• Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions and reviews.
• Attend and provide input to project start-up and close-out meetings.
• Experience in the commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
• Deliver commercial training.

The successful candidate should have:

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
• Specifically experience in NEC, JCT or IchemE contracts
• Experience within the civils industry, infrastructure (10 years +).
• Proven experience of working on projects valuing up to £20million
