As a result of continued growth, a market leader in their field are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to lead, manage, develop and inspire a large team of Managers across various stores in the Glasgow area to deliver key business objectives in a fast paced, competitive and sales focused environment.
This is a challenging role and you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of Managers ,who in turn manage and motivate individual teams of staff to achieve sales targets.
In this role you will be responsible for
- Achieving through others the business targets agreed for your business area focusing on new business, add on sales,
- Identifying training and coaching needs for your business area
- Developing your direct reports
- Managing under performance
- Ensuring all monthly performance reviews are conducted in line with the operation's business plan
- Staff recruitment, retention, day to day management of your department costs
To be considered for this role, you will need
- A solid background as a manager of a sales focused Retail environment with extensive experience of managing through managers.
- A track record of achieved sales performance
- Experience of managing, leading and developing large teams of staff.
- You will need extensive experience of process improvement, change management, team building, planning and decision making.
In addition, you must have a positive attitude and thrive in a fast paced environment which changes frequently. You will need to be self motivated with an ability to motivate others and have strong influencing and negotiating skills.
