Marketing Insight Analyst Edinburgh   £21K - £25K DOE plus market leading benefits package

One of Scotland's most sought after employers is now looking for a quantitative focused Marketing Insight Analyst to join its well established & extremely successful Insight Department. 

This is a challenging and interesting post where you will be involved in ensuring that marketing data is forward-thinking and knowledgeable in order to uphold reputation and satisfaction levels within the industry

The Marketing Insight team is tasked with developing and sharing a deep understanding of the industry, activity performance, markets and consumers and generating rich marketing insight which will ensure that marketing strategies are based on the best possible information and thinking. You will play a key role in the Insight Department by carrying out research and insight generation projects, ensuring that they result in rich insight and actionable recommendations which are understood and implemented.  You will measure marketing and consumer-focused activities, be involved in brand and campaign development research, segmentation, profiling and market research – all with the aim of ensuring that the marketing strategies are based on the best possible thinking.  You will also carry out a programme of monitoring trends and developments in the operating environment.  You will assess implications and identify the opportunities and threats they present so that the organisation can be better prepared to exploit opportunities and face challenges. 

We are looking for a Quantitative analyst, rather than a qualitative one. This role is statistically focused, and needs someone who can:

• Manipulate and analyse data and to consider the implications of the analysis for various audiences
• Think creatively in order to solve problems
• Be both accurate and produce analysis of a high standard
• Communicate date effectively to non-numerical audiences
