Senior Control Systems Engineer

Eden Scott's Client based in central Scotland is a global provider to the Oil and Gas sector specialising in flow metering systems and instrumentation. They are currently looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their Software and Controls team.

Reporting to the Software and Controls Manager you will join a small team with a variety of responsibilities including: Design, build, test and support metering control systems for the Oil and Gas industry

Responsibilities:

*Write technical documentation for the design and test of software systems.
*Design, configuration and implementation of software systems.
*Test systems to specified standards and conduct client witnessed tests.
*Supervise software and test technicians.
*Liaise with client and internal technical contacts.
*Attend client sites as required for meetings, commissioning and support.
*Support Applications team on bids.
*Identify and execute department and business initiatives.
*Support legacy software systems.
*Attain documented competencies and certifications relevant to the business.
*Exposure to DeltaV (Essential).
*Process industry experience (Essential)
*Lead Factory Acceptance Testing as required.

Skills and Experience:

*Programming languages (C++, Visual Basic, scripting languages).
*Source control (SVN, SourceSafe)
*Microsoft Office.
*Flow computer configuration (S600, Omni).
*TCP/IP Networking.
*Databases.
*PC Hardware.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related technical discipline with industry experience as a Distribution Control Systems or SCADA Engineer.
