SeAscape Ayr Volunteer Befriender Ayr   unpaid/voluntary

Our befrienders carry out one-one meetings once a week with a service user who has been helped in to housing by us and who feels they could benefit from having a befriender.This would help them to get out and meet new people.This post would involve meeting up for two-three hours, once a week and engage in social activities. We are purely a befriending service and do not offer mentoring, advice or any other service but can signpost these services through our Housing Support department. We ask for a six month commitment and that our volunteers undergo some training and Disclosure at enhanced level.

No childcare is involved with this post

As stated this is a voluntary post, though travel and expenses up to an agreed limit will be paid.
