Denholm’s exclusive client, a leading FMCG business, is currently looking to grow their commercial team with the appointment of a National Account Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make their mark with one of the top four accounts.
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will be key in establishing, maintaining and continually developing the relationship with one of their biggest customers in one of their main categories. This is a key role within the business and you will be responsible for driving joint business plans to establish and maintain commercially beneficial relationships with the buying teams. In addition, you will be responsible for driving the NPD and category agenda for your customer ensuring all opportunities are maximised and that the product range is successful and profitable. You will be a key ambassador for the business ensuring all deadlines are met and that superior customer and quality service levels are maintained. Being the lynchpin of the account, you will work closely with other functions internally, as well as all relevant external stakeholders and contacts within the customer.
Previous FMCG sales experience is essential for this role,ideally with a backround in managing one of the top grocery/retail accounts. Candidates who have broader retail sales experience or potentially foodservice sales experience will also be considered. We’re looking for candidates with a first class ability to develop and foster strong relationships with customers. This is a fast paced industry so candidates will need to feel comfortable making decisions quickly.
