87358 - Outfit Coordinator

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Outfit Coordinator, based in Rosyth.

Job Description

Working closely within the QEC engineering, production, procurement and planning departments to provide detailed outfitting information within the manufacturing, build and assembly stages of the project.

  • Proactively support the engineering and production teams in a timely manner, resolution of problem and assist in the timely completion of the project.
  • Support in the capture of completed tasks during the build stages.
  • Working closely within the CVF engineering, production, procurement and planning departments in the creation of advanced outfitting procedures/rule sets, from sub assembly to whole ship assembly within the CVF project.
  • Using engineering outputs from various industrial partners; create detailed outfitting information on what items need to be installed when within the build stages in line with agreed procedures/rules.
  • Creation of quality detailed information in a manner and format that allows procurement, warehousing and the outfit installation process to be executed in the most effective manner.
  • Liaising with the manufacturing and outfitting teams as required to assist in executing the project, i.e. change management.
  • Ensure that the correct scope of work is made available for subcontractors.
  • Be proactively involved in the development of processes, systems and initiatives within the role and the project.

  • Skills & Experience

  • IT skills advantageous, training will be provides;
  • Understanding of project control and monitoring techniques
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collate and present information at appropriate levels;
  • Proactive but with the ability to react quickly when necessary to meet challenging objectives
  • General understanding of multi disciplines within ship repair
  • Trade based apprenticeship or similar technical training.
  • Ability to extract information from engineering detailed level 4 drawings

  • This is a permanent position.
