The Rights Respecting Schools (RRS) Programme is an innovative and creative programme that aims to embed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) in the ethos and practice of schools. The vision of the Programme is that all children in the UK learn in a rights respecting school community where the CRC is fully embedded in values and practice.

The Senior Professional Advisor is a new role within the RRS team. Reporting to the Programme Director, you will work either in Scotland or the North East of England or the North West of England to promote the RRS Programme in schools and local authorities, and will support schools to achieve and maintain their RRS status. In addition to your own area of responsibility, you will manage the Professional Advisors responsible for the two other areas /country and have overall accountability for the development and quality of the RRS Programme across all three areas/country.

A confident and driven individual, you will have proven experience of working strategically at a senior level with children and young people in an educational setting. You will also be an advocate for children’s rights, demonstrating a strong commitment to the CRC. Strong IT skills are essential, including the ability to work efficiently remotely and manage multiple demands and priorities.
