2 x 36 hrs per week, 1 x 18hrs per week, salary pro rata

The closing date for this post is provisionally set at 1 July 2012. This may change and close early depending on applicant response levels.
You will be a motivated occupational therapist working in the community, responsible for assessing the needs of individuals with illness and physical disability.

To support service users to remain in their own homes you will identify their individual abilities and potential and make the necessary recommendations for equipment, adaptations and any further input to promote their independence.

You will have excellent communication skills, have the ability to prioritise and organise your workload and have good IT skills.

You will be part of a dynamic, supportive occupational therapy team, receive full induction, have regular supervision, have training opportunities and PDP.

Experience working with older people, physical disability and community work is required.

Qualifications required: Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with HPC.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
