Title: Assistant Cook - 18 hours per week
Location: Burngrange Care Home
Salary: £14,716 - £16,574 pro rata
Assisting the cook in the day to day running of the kitchen, you will demonstrate good hygiene and recording practice within E.H.O guidelines. You will assume responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the cook. Previous experience essential. Elementary Food Hygiene essential with a willingness to undertake further training. A rota system is in operation which includes weekend working.
Required to undertake the day to day running of the kitchen in the absence of the Cook. Responsible for the day to day preparation of meals, snacks and any form of food preparation required to meet the needs of service users. Any other duties which may be required in relation to Food Hygiene guidelines.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.Job Reference: WEL001466
