Foster Care Associates Scotland is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Therapist to join their busy Hamilton office to work 28 hours per week.
Along with multi-disciplinary colleagues, you will contribute to a friendly and well-functioning service for delivering high quality therapy services to children, and to facilitate and enable a therapeutic environment for looked after children and young people placed with FCA by Local Authorities, working to the team parenting model.
You will be required to have previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting completing a broad range of assessments and have experience in working with looked after children.
You will possess sound knowledge of child protection; safeguarding and legislative framework governing looked after children.
You will be required to have previous experience of working with professionals in the health, education and social services sector.
You will possess excellent communication skills, be able to communicate clearly and sensitively with young people and adults and be able to work as a team and autonomously.
Previous experience of facilitating groups and leading and delivering training would be an advantage.
You will need to maintain confidentiality at all times and be able to work under pressure and handle changing priorities.
Applicants should hold a recognised relevant therapy qualification and be registered with a recognised therapy body.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants are required to possess a full clean driving licence, a company car will be provided.
