Contracts and Commercial Engineer Aberdeen

Eden Scott's client has a requirement for a Commerical and Contracts Engineer to be based in their city centre office.

Role responsibilities:
To draft, tender and execute contracts for goods and services in the most productive and cost efficient manner with the least risk to the Company and ensuring maximum business value is derived.

Ensure proper handover of all relevant commercial/contractual documents between departments, set up and maintain project file(s)
Ensure main contract is executed and distributed
Establish, maintain and promote robust contractual management strategies incorporating rate reviews and contract amendments
Commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding and managing all subcontracts and major purchase orders. Interface with other departments to develop scopes
Providing all commercial and contractual advice to Operations Team
Liaison with other departments leading to preparation of invoices to client and management of the process ensuring timely submission in accordance with contract provisions
Highlighting any major commercial or contractual risks or issues to the relevant Operations Managers and work with them to ensure the optimum solution
Close out activities - ensuring receipt of completion certificates from client and agreement of final account with client and all subcontractors
Assist Operations team with cost analysis to support improvements in estimating and business improvements in operations teams

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience of commercial arrangements in Oil and Gas
Excellent knowledge of contract risk management
Substantial experience in Contracts/Supply Chain management

Academic Education & QualificationsEducated to degree level in a relevant discipline

Technical Qualifications
Awareness of relevant technical issues and desire to increase knowledge base

Personal AttributesAble to establish effective relationships with suppliers
Able to respond to a changing business environment
