Providing expert financial analysis and management accounting support, you’ll play a key role in the preparation and monitoring of two significant projects. SEWeb Life+, an ambitious project to collate a huge range of data about every aspect of the Scottish environment, drawn from an array of partner agencies and the implementation of the Flood Act.
You’ll be instrumental in ensuring we meet our targets across both of these exciting programmes – from assisting in the preparation of revenue and capital budgets, through to liaising with auditors. Preparing forecasts and monitoring expenditure, you’ll work closely with budget holders and other key individuals. Producing clear and robust financial reports, you’ll impart specialist advice and make presentations to the programme board. You’ll actively promote compliance and ongoing improvement in line with current best practice.
CCAB qualified, you have a proven track record of relevant experience including budget management, the use of financial reporting systems and, ideally, project work. Specialist working knowledge of budget setting activities, financial performance monitoring and relevant legislation is essential. The ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels, and to communicate complex information clearly both in person and in writing, is vital.
