Supervisor Dundee   £20,064 - £22,591

Based within the Road Maintenance Partnership Team at Fairmuir Depot Dundee, your duties will include statutory roads inspections, preparing, supervising and measuring road maintenance works and supervising winter maintenance operations.

You must have good general education and a general civil engineering background and have experience of general road maintenance. You will also have experience of record keeping, dealing with the public, and have the ability to give direct instruction and/or supervise of staff.

You must possess a broad knowledge of road maintenance techniques, knowledge of winter maintenance operations, and have good oral and written communication skills, good numeric skills, good customer care skills and IT skills (Microsoft Office Word/Excel).

You will also have experience of working within a team environment and on own initiative and have an ability to work to deadlines, produce reports and meet any team Key Performance Indicators.

The ability to make decisions, an understanding of relevant statutory regulations and the ability to resolve problems is also required. You must also have an understanding of quality systems and ensuring work carried out to an agreed quality.

You will be required to work unsocial hours during winter and to participate in standby rotas.

A full current driving licence is also required.
