My Glasgow based client are seeking applications from candidates with backgrounds in Marketing & Communications. This is an excellent contract opportunity that will offer the chance to work in a busy Marketing & Communications team and work on promotional work behind high profile events as well as day to day communications.
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will help deliver an effective media relations service, providing guidance and advice to all services and ensuring that the organisation is effectively represented and its reputation protected and enhanced through the media. You will also iimplement the media relations protocol and to continually review and develop the proactive and reactive media service to meet the circumstances and needs. Finally you will play a full and active role in the Communications Team, ensuring the development and implementation of a coherent, effective approach to communications that will enhance the image, profile and public awareness.
Working within the communications team you will also be expected to also contribute to the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns. These campaigns will involve the use of social media tools(twitter, facebook, blogs etc).
The successful candidate will a degree in marketing or communications, be able to demonstrate experience working in a marketing & communications environment, have a understanding of the principles of marketing and be able to implement marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will also have strong copy writing skills, experience in media relations and the proven skills in digital marketing.
