Based at Cockenzie Primary School Salary £12,270-£13,022 pro rata (£6.36-£6.75 per hour) Closing date 1 July 2012 It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale. Vacancy information: Permanent part time post 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year Monday-Friday 6am-8.30am Monday-Thursday 3.15pm-6.45pm Friday 1pm-4.30pm To start asap This post is sessional and will be worked over 38 weeks of the year during school terms and two weeks prior to the schools return from the summer break, making a total of 40 weeks per year.




Job Details
Purpose of the Job To provide a high standard of cleaning within any East Lothian Council building Major Tasks Cleaning all furniture, fixtures and fittings to the specified standard.

Cleaning all sanitary fittings to the specified standard.

Carry out floor maintenance procedures including dust control, suction cleaning, damp mopping, scrubbing, buffing and carpet shampooing.

Remove rubbish and take to allocated point.

Carry out safe systems of work including due regard for Health & Safety issues.

Comply with Unit Training and Procedures

Carry out any other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required by the Senior Cleaner/Area Officer
