Production Manager Fife   Circa £40k

Reed's client, a well known and established organisation, are currently recruiting for a Production Manager for their site in Fife. The successful candidate will be responsible for the functional, financial and strategic direction of the Production Department and it's ability to meet customer requirements for both service and quality.

The main duties of this role are;

*Effectively manage the production function by evaluating, reviewing and improving current working methods
*Control all labour costs and the budget levels of output
*Control and implement any legislation relating to health and safety at work
*Manage staff training, appraisals and disciplinary action
*Ensure effective means of stock control for all operations, especially raw material
*Evaluate and recommend solutions to improve existing systems of production
*To manage and implement effective systems and procedures for the company to ensure all technical standards are satisfied fully
*Get involved with HACCP planning and assessment
*To work in conjunction with HR to develop and monitor a robust manpower planning strategy
*To work in partnership with the NPD team to ensure that new products are trialled in the factory and monitored during all stages of production implementation

Experience within the food industry would be highly advantageous
