Leading international supplier of Support Services to the Defence Sector require a Marine Pipe work Design Engineer to join their Rosyth based team on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role is to design, analyse and develop Marine Pipe Work Systems for marine & offshore structures & systems
- Development of marine system piping and instrumentation diagrams, machinery layouts, equipment and material specifications.
- Preparation of the marine engineering sections of the tender specification to go out to shipyards.
- Pipework system design, material and equipment specifications for submission and approval by the client and classification society, liaison with the client and sub-contractors on the following projects.
- Specifying and requisitioning the main and auxiliary machinery and designing the associated systems fitted on naval and merchant ships.
To be considered for this role it is essential you have direct experience in design of marine & offshore structures & systems, demonstrate knowledge of society rules & flag state regulations, Proprietary systems analysis software.(Mathcad and Fluid Flow) and working knowledge of AutoCAD
