Crossing Patrol (Temporary)
Calside Primary School
£7.73 - £8.31 per hour
Worked term-time only
7 hours 15 minutes per week
Worked 1hr 27mins daily
8.15am – 9.00am + 2.50pm – 3.32pm
To assist school pupils in crossing a potentially busy highway, Undertake duties concerned with the safe passage of school children and other pedestrians across roads to and from school.
For example, control and direction of traffic at crossing areas, operation of hazard warning signs, and identification of any roadside hazards.
The control of the behaviour of children at crossing areas is a major requirement of the job.
The post will involve working in all weather conditions.
This is a temporary post for an initial period of up to 6 months.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
