The excitement of staging the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 is building. The Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee (OC) is aiming to deliver an athlete centred and sport focused event that will generate enormous pride for everyone involved. Our budget is funded partly by the Scottish Government and partly by Glasgow City Council with a target to be raised by sales of tickets, broadcasting rights, merchandise and also a variety of sponsorships.

As part of the commitment to sponsors there is a specific team allocated to ensure they are able to gain maximum return from their investment. The role of the Sponsor Services Coordinator is to assist the Managers in the smooth, consistent and professional delivery of this exceptional service.

The successful applicant will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including preparing documentation and reports, researching and presenting information and coordinating sponsor family workshops, events and meetings. The roles will involve working closely with the Sponsor Service Managers to build relationships and ensure that all sponsor expectations are exceeded.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of account or relationship management and strong communication skills, together with a first class ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met. The ability to work internally with other interdependent business areas is a must for this role. Knowledge of sponsor relationships at large scale sporting or other events is also advantageous.

This coordinator may come from an agency or in-house background.

These are challenging and exciting roles and truly a once in a generation chance to contribute to the success of one of the world`s largest sporting events. As with all roles within the OC, these positions will evolve during the lifetime of the Games (and during Games Time will undertake operational roles) and the successful applicants should be used to thriving in a fast paced and changing environment. The OC is committed to ensuring that the 2014 Games leaves a positive lasting legacy for Glasgow and Scotland and leaves our workforce with skills and experiences that will benefit from for years to come.

Be part of the team who will make history.
