Our client is a market leader in Risk Modelling. They have built their reputation on innovative product development and high standards of client service.
This well rounded role will see you play a leading role in servicing the companies clients, focusing on the Life insurance sector. You will be responsible for managing a team of analysts who will deliver stochastic model calibrations, ESG scenario-sets and other technical services to the companies client base. You will identify issues with working practices, and working collaboratively within the team, take the lead in driving solutions and improvements. Another key responsibility will be the coaching and developing team members, helping them develop their skills and career path.
First degree with post-graduate qualification PHD, MSC in relevant discipline
Professional Qualifications e.g. FIA, FFA, MBA, FRM, CFA
Experience of managing an analytical team to deliver results to multiple stakeholders/clients
Ability to lead a team dealing with fast-changing client requirements and priorities
Rigorous, logical approach to tackling technical problems
Takes responsibility for delivering solutions
Strong understanding of advanced financial mathematics and or economics
A good understanding of relevant financial industries (insurance, pensions and/or retail product), product types and regulatory environment
Comfortable presenting and leading discussions, both externally and internally
Excellent communication and listening skills
Ability to influence and build relationships both internally and externally at all levels
Comfortable presenting models and quantitative techniques as a trainer
Strong understanding of stochastic modelling, and in particular its application within Life insurance (liability valuation, economic capital calculation, capital management)
