Temporary Waste Campaign Officer Edinburgh   £8.57 to £10.10 per hour

Blue Arrow's client, one of Edinburgh's largest Public Sector organisations, requires several experienced Campaign Officers to join its busy Waste Services department based in the Murrayburn area of Edinburgh.

Hours of work for this position will be Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm (36 hours per week) and the rate of pay for this position will start at £8.57 per hour with an opportunity to increase to £10.10 per hour after the successful completion of a 3 month probationary period. The assignment will be placed on an ongoing 3 month rolling contract.

Working closely with internal customers and also members of the public, you will be responsible for the promotion of various waste campaigns and strategies across the city. This may involve attending community meetings or conducting door to door surveys to gauge popularity and success of schemes. Therefore you must be well presented and have excellent customer service and communications skills, with the ability to manage conflict accordingly.

You will also be responsible for investigating and responding to all levels of written complaints. Therefore candidates must have excellent problem solving skills with the ability to produce high quality written work from scratch.

Successful candidates will be expected to manage their own caseloads and be fully responsible for their own time management and therefore it is imperative that applicants are able to work both on their own and as part of a team.

You will also be responsible for completion of all your own administration tasks to support the role and therefore applicants must have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Due to the nature of this role, all successful candidates will be required to complete a Basic Scottish Disclosure application to check for any unspent criminal convictions.
