Our client is a clinical stage pharmaceutical company focussed on the discovery of therapies and diagnostics for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.

Our client is headquartered in Singapore with primary research facilities in Aberdeen.  The company is embarking on pivotal international phase 3 clinical trials and as such will be managing large vendor contracts with clinical research organisations and a range of other vendors. Upon successful completion of these trials, the company may engage in an introductory public offering and or/trade sale.

We are looking to appoint a Business Support Director to report directly to and work very closely with the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder on the areas below:

  • Writing of business plans
  • Corporate affairs
  • Writing of project plans
  • Development of financial models for investors
  • Overall program time-line and budget oversight in communication with Finance Director and Chief Medical Officer
  • Assistance in management and oversight of CRO’s and other vendors
  • HR issues
  • Assistance with fundraising work
  • Publicity and PR coordination
  • Working with legal team
  • Support in eventual IPO or trade sale

Candidates might have worked as a business or investment analyst with a background in finance or law.  We are not necessarily looking for a background in life sciences, but candidates should be interested in the subject matter and have very strong written and presentation skills, be financially astute, self-motivated, results orientated and resilient individuals who can perform under pressure.

As the company is a small, growing company, this opportunity offers candidates exposure to many parts of the business – more so than in a large established firm – and will be demanding but very rewarding.
