The Role:

Due to undertaking an exciting new project an excellent opportunity has arisen for an Equipment Engineer to join the team, initially on a 6 month contract but may continue. With comprehensive knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and quality systems, you will assume responsibility for the equipment commissioning and validation processes for the project.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the period, existing process maps for the project
  • Work with suppliers to ensure project delivery deadlines are achieved through regular design reviews
  • Complete FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) on equipment for assigned project
  • Install and commission equipment on site
  • Write and execute validation protocols and supporting documentation to enable the commencement of manufacturing
  • Support manufacture of product for regulatory submission and through to day to day manufacturing
  • Training of maintenance teams on new equipment.
  • Carry out FMEA's for project process equipment and feedback findings into equipment validation process.

  • The Candidate:

  • Should have knowledge of Six Sigma/process excellence tools
  • Will have good knowledge of production equipment and be capable of preparing appropriate validation documentation from the outset
  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification and have relevant experience as an Equipment Engineer in medical manufacturing environment is preferred.
