CAD Design - Project Engineer Dundee   £30000 per annum + Pension, Sick Pay, 33 PAL

Main responsibilities:-

*Design using Pro-Engineer (knowledge, experience and understanding of best practice with respect to modelling, assembling etc.)
*Creation of engineering drawings.
*Design release and change control including interfacing with manufacturing.
*Co-ordination of work on MRP systems and creation of Bill of Material structures.
*Complete projects (use of Prince 2 Project management)
*Plan and coordinate activities / workload to meet deadlines.
*Work closely with engineering teams in other European locations (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and software disciplines).
*Provide regular progress reports.
*Have a "hands on practical" approach, which will require building the product during prototype and product introduction stages.
*Develop knowledge and awareness on existing and developing engineering (UK & European) regulations / standards related to company products.(e. g. ATEX)
*Knowledge of health & safety regulations in relation to the products.
*Accept responsibility for project leadership when required.
*Work within a project team or individually on small or large projects.
*Provide related support regarding instructions for introducing new products and components to the manufacturing and service functions.
*Be capable to stand in for Product Leader when required.

This is a dynamic and diverse role requiring an innovative engineer utilising modern engineering design techniques. To meet our requirements the following qualifications, skills & experience will be required:-

Qualifications: A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, however HND in a related subject (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering) and extensive relevant experience may be considered.

Skills & Experience: - Extensive experience with 3D packages (must include Pro - Engineer / Auto CAD). Good materials knowledge, understanding of working with sheet metal, machined parts, and castings. Excellent all round PC skills. Experience in similar role, preferably with a background in assembly of mechanical / electrical / hydraulic components.
