Eden Scott's client (based south of the city) is looking to hire a HVAC Design/Project Engineer, to design and co-ordinate projects from conceptual stage through to completion and close out.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*Interpret and understand a design brief, produce written quotations and time/material estimations based on the clients specific requirements
*Carry out design of HVAC systems, including calculations and detailed AutoCAD drawings
*Complete detailed site surveys of offshore HVAC installations for estimation and design review purposes
*Produce technical documentation, i.e. reports, workpacks and calculations
*Organise and procure all relevant materials and equipment for projects and assign personnel to carry out the installations
*Provide assistance to the department for projects, surveys, design, procurement, installation and commissioning relating to HVAC activities
*Organise day to day activities to the benefit of on-going projects to ensure progress is maintained and deadlines are met
*Carry out work at client premises (including offshore / overseas) as required by the company, while observing HSEQ policies and working within these at all times
*Record all data related to projects, including time sheets, estimations, quotations and financial information
*Carry out any necessary training as required by the company to improve working skills and techniques

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Ideally, candidates will be self-motivated and client focussed; with a flair for design and project management in a high-integrity industry sector. Work will be based in Aberdeen, with occasional offshore or international visits. Preference will be given to candidates with HVAC experience, but applications are also invited from professionals with relevant design experience gained elsewhere.

* HVAC technical knowledge, ability and experience
* Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively between onshore and offshore
* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
* Strong written and computer skills

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role and able to demonstrate their ability and expertise in previous positions. Offshore experience will be preferable as occasional offshore and international travel will be required.

Good standard of general education with passes in English and Maths.

Ideally, the candidate will be Degree Qualified (e.g. BEng (Hons) / MEng in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering discipline) with significant experience in industry and a similar role. B.O.S.I.E.T. / F.O.E.T and M.I.S.T. certification is desired.
