Manufacturing Engineer Aberdeen

Eden Scott's client is looking to hire 2x Manufacturing Engineers. Based south of the city, this will be a key support role within the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*Compile pre-job work packs
*Technical authority for manufacture and machining
*Compile route sheets
*Prepare material requisitions for submission
*Advise on cost, planning/scheduling and estimating for manufacture and machining work scopes
*Liaise with customer as required
*Undertake other relevant duties as requested by the Manufacturing Manager
*Advising/assisting machinists

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

*HNC Mechanical Engineering /Modern Apprenticeship
*Experience and a clear understanding of machining processes
*Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (both machining and assemblies)
*Ability to work under minimum supervision
*Ability to fully understand customer requirements and interface as required
*Accurate report writing and good level of terminology understanding
*Ability to conduct and review risk assessments
*Experienced in engineering software packages (solidworks) beneficial
*Experienced in offline programming and related CAD/CAM software packages beneficial
*Ability to prioritise work for maximum performance
*Experience of well control equipment design would be highly beneficial
*Strong Problem solving skills required
*Excellent interpersonal/communications skills
*Highly developed computer skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project, Access Database, Adobe etc
*Must be organised, motivated and be able to demonstrate good time management skills.
