Eden Scott's client is looking to hire a Workshop Supervisor to be involved in the assembly of third party equipment in accordance with the relevant instructions; testing of equipment and recording of results; adherence to all safety and environmental control measures and maintenance of good housekeeping standards within the workshop and yard.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

General
*Checking work order package to ensure all relevant information is available
*Manage and develop direct reporting staff
*Directly responsible for all Fitters
*Distribution of test & assembly activities to allow maximum utilisation of personnel
*Develop Fitters competency through on-job training
*Provide input into Annual PPR's for all Fitters
*Chairing and attending various meetings to ensure the accurate planning and monitoring of all test & assembly activities

Assembly
*Verifying the identity of components prior to assembly.
*Ensuring all applicable safety procedures and control measures are adhered to.
*Assembling of products to verbal instruction or in accordance with drawings and specifications.

Testing
*Ensuring all applicable safety procedures and control measures are adhered to.
*Verifying the identity of components prior to test.
*Verifying test equipment to be used is within calibration and free from damage.
*Connect assembly to test equipment in accordance with relevant instructions.
*Ensuring adequate steps are taken to contain potential spillages.
*Conduct test and recording results.

Reporting
*Reporting any nonconforming items found.
*Updating of necessary records on successful completion of activity.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

*Mechanical HNC/Modern Apprenticeship
*Experience of surface/subsea Xmas trees, valves, BOP systems
*Experience of HP/LP Hydro Testing & HP/LP Gas Testing
*Ability to understand Engineering Drawings
*Ability to Work under limited supervision
*Ability to conduct and review Risk Assessments
*Ability to lead a team through technical procedures; e.g. FAT, SIT
*Ability to prioritise work for maximum performance from the team
*Ability to direct and supervise shop floor personnel
*Ability to coach and mentor other members of staff
