Eden Scott's client is looking to hire a Technical Coordinator to support projects in establishing and defining technical work scopes for customer and company owned equipment requiring manufacture, maintenance and refurbishment.

JOB PURPOSE:

*Support the Workshop Group regarding any technical issues that may arise during workshop activities.
*Liaise with materials/stores personnel on any technical queries that may arise during equipment receipt process of company and customer owned equipment.
*Prepare and issue technical work scopes, ensuring that they contain appropriate instructions and information to carry out the agreed task..
*Maintain and develop good working relations with qualified 3rd party vendors and sub-contractors.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures as well as statutory and customer requirements.
*Liaise with the workshop group to coordinate ongoing assigned project activities.
*Generate internal budgetary quotations, detailing workshop, sub-contract and procurement costs.
*Generate and maintain service order task lists for active service order within the assigned project cell.
*Liaise with engineering when required seeking approval for any deviations from established working procedures or practices.
*Identify and document, test fixtures and consumables, where required, for ongoing manufacture and refurbishment activities.
*Coordinate and resolve any technical issues arising in the Workshop.
*Attend internal and external meetings, to provide technical support for ongoing base refurbishment projects, as and when required.
*Generate and compile concise work instructions for 3rd party vendors and sub-contractors.
*Generate pre-job quotes at the request of the Workshop Manager and/or Project Manager.
*Maintain and generate template task lists.
*Attend quote review meetings with Workshop Manager as requested.
*Attend Project kick-off meetings as requested.
*Support QA Engineer in creation of customer Quality Plans.
*Update the service order status report.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

*Educated to a minimum of HNC in an engineering related subject or have extensive relevant experience within an engineering environment.
*Previous experience in a technical co-ordination role.
*Experience in Oil & Gas industry (petroleum related rework business).
*Excellent communication skills.
*A positive and professional customer service attitude to work.
*Previous exposure to SAP systems and processes preferred.
