HM Prison Shotts

We require a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and reliable Prison Officer Instructor (Relief) to join our specialist team. You will be responsible for the effective management and development of prisoners within the context of the Inclusion Policy, offering opportunities to be involved in constructive and meaningful activity and supporting prisoners in gaining appropriate nationally recognised qualifications aimed at improving their employment prospects on release.

 You must have served a recognised trade apprenticeship and you should have achieved the A1 (D32) Assessor Award or be willing to work towards this award.

You will attend Scottish Prison Service College and undertake 6 weeks Prison Officer training.
