Our client is the world's co-leader wines and spirits company and is the world's No. 2 in Scotch whisky. An excellent opportunity has arisen within their organisation for an experienced Quality Assurance Leader to work at their Paisley operation.

The role will support and drive continuous improvement of quality assurance activities including systems, processes and products across our operations via the development and implementation of the "Right First Time" strategy.

The role holder will identify, drive and implement process improvement activities throughout our own operations and those of our extended supply chain utilizing six sigma methodologies. They will drive effective problem resolution on critical issues via structured problem solving methods such as 8D or DMAIC and establish robust material qualification and control measures to assure on-going quality levels are maintained at the highest level.

The role will also support the development and implementation of training materials and procedures to allow sustainable implementation of quality methods and support standardisation and ensure best practices are shared across the business. It will support the development and maintenance of the quality management system to ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 and assess new legislation and regulations specifically relating to materials integrity, food safety and weights and measures.

The successful candidate must be degree qualified with extensive experience in Quality Assurance or Process engineering. They will have advanced problem solving, root cause analysis and analytical skills, and be able to demonstrate effective project management, influencing, and team leadership skills. They will have a sound understanding of production constraints and process controls, and have experience of quality management systems and the principles of GMP & HACCP

The role does involve some travel so a current driving licence is essential.
