Barony College based in Parkgate near Dumfries, provides engineering training for Land Based industries and prides itself in forging close working relationships with the leading edge manufacturers in the UK and abroad. We have created the following vacancy to enhance new and exciting projects in our dynamic and creative Engineering Team.

You will instruct and assess engineering students to NC/HNC/HND levels. Instruction will take place mainly in a workshop environment. In addition , you will be expected to make regular review visits to employers sites to monitor the progress of the trainees.

Applicants should have a time served apprenticeship ia a related discipline (Automative/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering) preferably in a Land Based discipline. Ideally you will have also had experience in  working in a dealership environment. Good customer facing skills are essential along with good comunication skills, a positive attitude and competence in the use of IT. It would be an advantage to have an assessor qualification or be prepared to gain one through training.
