Due to continual growth and expansion my client have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Assembler. Based at their new premises near Montrose. The candidate must have a recognised technical apprenticeship or job related training and experience in working in a mechanical engineering workshop environment.

Main duties will entail:

Mechanical Assembly of various products with responsibility for ensuring;

All parts issued are specified on engineering bill of material

Traceability records are maintained and reflect correct trace "as built"

All procedures and specifications are followed precisely

Pressure & functional testing of products with responsibility for ensuring;

All procedures & specifications are followed precisely

All test equipment used is correct for test required and "in calibration"

Operates machine & hand tools, including abrasive grinding wheels, drill press etc, ensuring the machinery is set correctly and used safely

Final inspection of completed assemblies to ensure completion of all operations, stamping details, traceability, correct thread protectors, cleanliness and corrosion prevention

The individual must be self motivated with a positive can do attitude have good mechanical aptitude and understanding with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents. You must also be aware of relevant health and safety regulations and experience of working in ISO9000 and API is an advantage.
