WFS are seeking a Finance Assistant to join the team at our office in Livingston.

Job Summary

The Finance Assistant will assist the Finance Manager with the effective and efficient running of the Finance Department and continually develop best practices within Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Processing of all Purchase & Sales Ledger transactions within 2 companies in the business.

Supplier Payment runs ensuring supplier are paid within terms

Credit control activities

Responsible for preparing & processing monthly payroll

Processing staff expenses & company credit card expenses

Cash Flow maintenance

Assist the Finance Manager with month end routine, including posting of Journals & Bank reconciliation

Person Specification

The right candidate will have a good attention to detail and accuracy skills.  The person must be able to use initiative and be a good communicator.

Experience

Previous experience working within a finance department.  Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger & payroll experience preferred

Technical Skills

Knowledge of Sage Accountancy & Sage Payroll sofware

Competencies

Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
