We are currently looking to add to our team of recruitment professionals in response to the growing demand for our services from both candidates and clients. A range of opportunities exist; from an entry level role requiring no previous experience, through to an experienced recruiter capable of running or developing a new area of the market or an existing small team.
We welcome applications from professionals working in a recruitment environment at present (industry or agency) as well as graduates looking for a traineeship. We are also keen to hear from professionals who perhaps work in a different discipline at present but feel they match the characteristics of a typical industry high performer (noted below) and are therefore keen to explore transitioning into the recruitment sector.
Job descriptionA recruitment consultant at Thorpe Molloy will work as an equal business partner with our clients, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements. You will be tasked with attracting candidates by advertising in a wide range of media, as well as by networking and through candidate and client referrals. You will also assume responsibility for screening candidates via a thorough pre-registration and interview process with the aim of matching candidates to the most suitable employer and specific vacancy. This would be a priority of any consultant and a key measure of success is ensuring that both the job seeker and employer expectations are met, and often exceeded, from the start to the finish of the process. Naturally, you would be required to effectively communicate with a range of employers and individuals, understanding what they are looking for and presenting an appropriate solution.
Through a rigorous training program, consultants are expected to become a specialist in their field, generating alternative ideas for clients and candidates in order to maximize placement opportunities. Advice offered would also include information on market salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities.
A recruitment consultant's role is both demanding and diverse and specific duties and responsibilities would include:
Meeting clients, developing a good understanding of their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment.
Maintain and develop current client relationships and target new business development opportunities in order to maximize the potential of your market area.
Actively develop knowledge of your marketplace to enable the generation of new and continued business pipeline, through canvass calling, use of marketing, networking and lead generation.
Completing a thorough search of the candidate database to find the best candidate for the employer¡¦s vacancy.
Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and short-listing candidates.
Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question.
Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
Organising interviews for candidates and informing the outcome and feedback of these interviews to both candidates and clients.
Negotiating terms and conditions and finalising arrangements between client and candidates.
Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programs. Key skills and attributes of a high performer;
