Assistant Accountant Dunfermline   £20000 - £25000 per annum + Training Package

Eden Scott's client is a business operating in several countries in Europe, Middle-East and Africa; they supply a variety of consultancy and engineering services with some major clients who are recognisable by their respective brand names.

In this role you will be responsible for;
- Processing and inputting invoices into the company ledgers and maintaining purchases and sales information
- Calculating VAT in several different currencies
- Updating the company balance sheets and covering all business banking on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Working with the accountant to produce period and quarter-end reports
- Covering all staff expenses, payments to suppliers and providing reports to the Management Accountant
- You will produce intrastat returns and compile national statistics

To be considered for this position you must have a university degree or a similar academic qualification and either be actively studying for a professional qualification or willing to take one on. They want to hire someone with the ambition of becoming a qualified accountant.

In addition to this you will have experience of working in an accounts department for a minimum of 2 years covering duties including the support of month-end reporting.
