Our Media Industry Client is looking for an experience Business Intelligence Business Analyst to join their corporate Business Intelligence team.

The Corporate Business Intelligence team undertakes the design, development and support of a range of BI and integration solutions. This covers major developments through to minor enhancements and bug fixes. The team sustains the existing applications with second level support. Close liaison with other areas of the business produces high-level designs of solutions and defines the approach to the delivery and implementation. Both bespoke applications and package configuration and integration are part of the team's scope.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst role responsible for capturing business process definitions and business case definition for Business Intelligence systems.
  • Proven experience and track record of systems/technical analysis and design of complex Business Intelligence systems integration - sharing data between departments and with external suppliers and customers.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in Dimensional Modelling.
  • Proven understanding of Agile methodologies, standards and process implementation and management.
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship management skills.
  • Self motivator with energy and drive for continuous improvement and a focus on delivering results.

    • Desirable:

  • In-depth understanding of Business Intelligence best practice and principles.
  • Data warehouse and ETL analysis and design.
  • Experience of implementing and integrating substantial packaged and bespoke systems.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Proven development skills in at least two of the following: Netezza, Oracle, Ab Initio, Unix scripting.
  • Business-critical, high-availability (24*7*365) systems experience.
  • Experience within a successful, fast-moving and highly commercial environment such as telecoms, broadcast, media, or possibly financial services or healthcare.

    • This is an initial 3 month contract based in Livingston at a rate of approximately £350.00 per day.
