Operations Manager

A vacancy has arisen for an Operations Manager to provide strategic plans and direction for the operational function within Fisher Offshore.  

As well as the responsibility for developing and maintaining fundamental operational systems the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience and capability in the following areas:

Budgetary control: the ability to review performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and process improvement.

Strong commercial acumen: a working knowledge of an organisation’s success factors and the ability to understand and make decisions necessary for success.

Proven people management skills: the ability to inspire, engage and energise individuals by transforming potential into high performance.

Effective communication skills:  not only verbal and written but also proficient listening skills.

Strong engineering background: appropriate engineering qualifications as well as extensive relevant experience

Experience of facilitating change management: the ability to drive value by redesigning and redefining capabilities, operating model, structure, roles and responsibilities.

Advanced IT skills: Microsoft Office applications essential

Experience of successful project management: the ability to ensure the successful completion of project goals and objectives.

Asset management: the ability to minimise the whole life cost of assets while ensuring minimal risk and business continuity.

Key Performance Indicators: the ability to identify and develop KPIs and demonstrate their impact on the results.

Health and Safety:  health and safety qualification suitable for a managerial/supervisory position

Operations:  previous experience in a senior operational role would be advantageous
